Shannon graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2006 with her Bachelors in Accounting, and from the University of William Howard Taft in 2008 with her Masters in Taxation. She began her accounting career immediately after graduating from GCU. She has worked for a large public accounting firm, and worked in the public education, aviation, and retail merchandise industries. She has served clients in many industries throughout her career, but has focused on the following industries:
- School boards
- Non-profit organizations
- Homeowner Associations
- Real Estate
- Individuals and small businesses
Shannon is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Her North Carolina CPA certificate # is 39298.
Shannon grew up in the Phoenix, AZ area and currently resides in Elon, NC with her husband Duane, and three children – John, Bradlie, and Trace.
